Juken no Kamisama
This is a Japanese drama which came out last year so there has been plenty of time to upload and sub this into English however it is proving to be the most ridiculously elusive drama out there and if I had known it would be IMPOSSIBLE to find, download or even buy I wouldn't have bothered watching in the first place but unfortunately I did and got interested and now I want more! Damn. All I could find was the first three episodes on crunchyroll. Episode 4 is on dailymotion in bleedin' French. There is only one torrent file I can find which doesn't actually appear to be in torrent format. I even considered going legal and buying it BUT the cost of the DVD Boxset is...*drumroll, cymbals* £90. £90!!! Now I know the very meaning of daylight robbery. My television and DVD player combo I'm going to play it in cost less than that. Why oh why can't I find this drama?; tons of other rubbish is so much easier to get hold of. The way things are going, I'm more likely to learn Japanese than finish this series =_=

Procrastination Strikes Again!

In the sort of mood where I know I should be working, I am not tired, nor hungry or anything, just can't physically bring myself to do it. Aargh. And if at home right now instead of having snuck into the med school, I would be most likely sleeping, for no reason whatsoever other than boredom and hopelessness. Grrr...
Exams are in four weeks, will last for eleven days, and after that I will cease to be a student; something I've been for...my god, is it actually almost 18 years?! Where da time go? 18 years and then freedom. Heheh, I may actually go mad...
But for now, no freedom, just exams, and I'm going mad anyway. Strange thing considering I don't actually do any work! I haven't reached the point yet where I'm like 'Ah, screw it, I don't care what I get, just want this to be over' or the even more dangerous point of 'Urgh, I give up completely' but I anticipate it sometime in the near future. Right now in a more of a 'Life is so meaningful, but everything means nothing to me' type of mood, can't explain it, which results in bursts of great ambition and dips where I wanna do nothing except youtube. Actually anything but work will do which would explain why I'm on this again after so many months. How can one force themselves when every atom in their brain is resisting? How can I motivate myself? I know how to stay awake now, found a trick; standing up whilst reading ;-), but motivation...that's a toughy. So is getting up in the mornings in the first place - uergh, that is why I sometimes wish I were a computer. When you set it to do a task at a certain time, it does it, and it keeps doing it (unless your computer is kaput like mine, darn thing), it doesn't tire, or get bored. Is it impossible for a human being to be like that (within reason obviously), or is it just me?

Ultimate Procrastination List

Here's a super list of activities which are guaranteed to let me put off writing my lab report (which coincidentally is due in 7 DAYS) for as long as possible
:drum roll:
1. Making this blog and posting a super list of activities guaranteed to let me put off writing my lab report
2. Watching repeats of Top Gear on Dave and BBC Three
3. Cleaning my room and changing my bedsheets that have been there for several weeks (urgh)
4. Watching every single series of America's Next Top Model to date
5. Arguing with my housemate about the volume of the television
6. Arguing with my housemate about why his handwriting is SHIT and mine is better (his b's look like l's and his r's like n's for crying out loud)
7. Arguing with my housemate about the name of my blog (I was gonna name it Banana Breaded Bated Breath)
8. Attempting to cook vegetable soup
9. Waiting for Bleach episode 150 to download
10. Sleeping until 2pm, then lying in bed and staring at the ceiling till 3pm
11. Writing a To Do List filled with stuff that I definitely won't end up doing
12. Looking up survey of Worst Jobs in the UK (I think fisherman was in there somewhere)
13. Chewing my fingernails (my nail cutter is broken)
14. Trying to learn how to play Life Is Like A Boat on piano
15. Looking up prices of cars I would like to buy even though I have no money, no job and no provisional license
16. Searching random words on urbandictionary.com (see Land of No Return for my entry)
17. Trying to come up with a nickname for my annoying housemate (dickhead and twerp is getting old)
18. Checking Google Earth to see if there's any place in the world called Bum (it's in Kandahar, Afghanistan)
19. Writing a list of things I would be buying people and myself for Christmas if I had more than 1 pence in my account
20. Having a quick flick through Asterix and Cleopatra (ah, the nostalgia)
21. Surf Wikipedia for anything and everything not to do with my lab report. Current searches: flavours of jelly beans, tax evasion, King Henry VIII Wives

Well, that killed off a good ten minutes. My lab book continues to sit next to me untouched and unloved, crying out for my attention, 'read me!' it cries, 'read meeee!' I don't wanna, I still haven't stared at the ceiling enough. Ah, ceiling...
